Step 5 - Click on the setting that specifies setting your company file to manual payroll computations. It will take you to the next help window.
Step 6 - This help window is actually a prompt, asking you to confirm whether you want to change the payroll setting to manual. Confirm this setting to move on with the process.
Step 7 - This setting will be confirmed with a message flashing on your screen that reminds you to cancel any ongoing subscriptions. If you do have one, you will have to call the payroll service in order to do so.
Step 8 - At this point, your manual payroll subscription has been activated. You can select preferences by clicking on Edit>Preferences>Payroll & Employees>Company Preferences. This is required in case you have never done any kind of payroll in your QB software before. Add any payroll items to the list menu to gain access to those items at the time of payroll generation.
